Exciting Canadian Day Action!
Oh Canada, was it an exciting weekend of action for your Young Drivers Canadian Vintage Modifieds Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway. 10 cars showed out for a twin 25 lap features and there was tons of excitement to go around! Thank you to Kinsbrae Packaging for sponsoring the nights action.
In feature #1 we saw the Scott Tonelli and Jae Pepin lead the field to green. Early on we sat the Tonelli get out to an early lead before a lap two spin by the #2 of Jessica James would stack the field up once again. Disaster would strike for Pepin as on the restart would fall off the pace from the leader. Heading into turn three the #43 of Pepin and the #5 of McIntyre would come together locking wheels and sliding up into turn four. Pepin would suffer some front end suspension damage wheel the #5 had to be towed off. Scott would be able to lead for the next little bit holding off the field before being passed by eventual race #15 T.J Marshall. Second would be #1 Mike Podd and rounding out the podium would be the #8 Ricky Willigar.

After a very busy intermission which saw teams thrash away trying to get back out for feature two all cars were able to make it on the track to start the second feature of the night. It would be Quintin Murdoch and Scott Tonelli leading the field to the green for the second feature. As the field headed off to into turn one T.J Marshall would make contact with Mike Podd bringing out the first caution. On the restart Quintin Murdoch would take the lead. After a few cautions the field was able to sort themselves out and put on an exciting show. A caution would come out from a spinning #43 as the leader was coming through turns 3 and 4 bringing out the caution and the checkered. T.J Marshall would grab the win and visit EPIC Racewear Victory Lane as Ricky Willigar and Ian McIntyre round out the podium.

Next race for your Young Drivers Canadian Vintage Modifieds will go this Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway. It will also be the rescheduled Meet The Drivers Night. We are pleased to welcome Sherwin-Williams as our nightly sponsor. Pit gate opens at 4:00pm, Grandstands open at 5:00pm with the Green Flag flying at 6:30pm.
With T.J Sweeping the features he gave away both his flags to two lucky young fans. As an added bonus all the drivers in the club took the time to sign the flag for them.
