IT'S RACE WEEK!!

This weekend the Young Drivers Canadian Vintage Modifieds return to action for the first time in 2023. After having their season delayed two weeks due to weather are finally heading to Flamboro Speedway for the Hank Franks Memorial Season Opener presented by Flamboro Machine Shop.

We are lucky enough to see some returning faces to the series like the #18 of Jerrid Morphy returning after taking last year off. We will also see a new comer to the series in Jessica James who joins the series racing for John Karley in the newly numbered 2 car.

Due to the early season rain out our schedule as of right now moves from 12 races to 11 and our drivers will battle throughout the summer months and crown a champion on September 23rd. Last season it was T.J Marshall taking home his third title in the series. Will we see someone new be crowned? Ricky Willigar is looking to compete each week and will be a solid contender at seasons end, Quintin Murdoch, who was the 2021 Rookie Of the Year always has a fast car making the trip to victory lane four times in 2022, will be one to watch out for as well.

A couple more drivers to keep eyes on will be Scott Tonelli and Jae Pepin. Both were rookies in the club in 2022 now make the transition to sophomores this season. Will we see them have breakout seasons? Or will we see them fall into a sophomore slump? Both finished 2022 strong. Both teams have upped their programs for the 2023 season and are looking to compete week in and week out with the top guys.
